We are kingdom builders.

ABOUT BUC of CANADA

Bethlehem United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) of Canada is a national conglomerate of churches stretching from British Columbia to Quebec.
Our fellowship has been around for 53 years, founded by our
Presiding Prelate, Bishop Dorant W. Thompson.

We have a joint, historic affiliation with the International body of the
Bethel United Churches of Jesus Christ, headquartered in Birmingham, England.
Growth comes with fellowship, and we affiliate with BUCJC for
the purposes of growth and international accountability.

Our history & leadership brings a combined experience of Oneness Apostolic training, development, guidance and insight; alongside over 50 years of real ministry training.

our purpose

Fellowship

We believe that no man is an island. Fellowship keeps a body together, and because “as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” (Prov. 27:17), we heavily believe in the togetherness of our churches and our national body.

Development

The church exists to develop the totality of man. As such, BUC of Canada exists to develop and equip the people of God in every available aspect.

care

We do our best to ensure that every person in BUC of Canada feels welcome in any partnered church they step into. The basis of the church as a whole is to welcome the sinner and saint in as much of a loving way as possible.

our beliefs

  1. We believe the Bible is God's inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word.

  2. We believe in the Godhead and in the Oneness of the Godhead. We believe that there is only one.

  3. God is manifested as Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and Jesus, who represents the fullness of the Godhead bodily, was the Eternal Father made visible.

  4. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death and bodily resurrection.

  5. We believe that for the salvation of sinful people, one must be born again, which includes predestination and election of saints, genuine repentance, water baptism, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

  6. We believe in baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  7. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, with speaking in tongues as the evidence of that baptism.

  8. We believe in justification by faith, repentance, and holy living through sanctification.
